Paula Nadelstern was interviewed about her quilt during the International Quilt Festival in Houston. She had a bit of an epiphany when she decided that if it was YOUR quilt then you CAN break the rules.

One quilt, one person, one video camera, three minutes = another quilt story saved! "Go Tell It at the Quilt Show!" is a Quilt Alliance project designed to capture the stories of quilts where quiltmakers gather.

Paula and Jinny Beyer are the two quilters who totally capture the wonder of the kaleidoscope. I fell in love with this "toy" when I was very little and to see it represented in quilts is fantastic. Although I have been quilting for many, many years, I have no desire to attempt these quilts. I am more than content to simply admire and stand in awe of them.

I have a couple of her books. She takes the simplest shapes and does the most mind boggling tricks with them to make the blocks.
But when you read her instructions, you find it is all so easy to do. The hardest thing I believe for me is having the patience in the process.

Fantastic! I love hearing about the making of this quilt - how awesome that Paula designed the fabric and is able to do so much with it in her art! LOVE the hand label on the back, too!
