I heard Jacquie speak about this quilt at the Boston Modern Quilt Guild. Having someone who doesn't live in Boston and who wasn't here on that day waiting to hear about the safety of loved ones, but yet was touched by it, make a quilt and such a powerful artistic statement touched me very deeply and I thank her for that.

Bravo to Jacquie Gering for her wonderful quilt; she's a quilter who isn't afraid to take on controversial topics. Those topics are part of the "thread" of our lives.
