Having "Quilter's Block?"  Heather Thomas shows you how looking outside the quilting genre can jumpstart your creativity by examining the masters in other areas of the arts.

I am going to explore this concept further. I am familiar with Klee and Miro. Kandinsky I just googled. Wow! I can almost see myself making a quilt using some of his style with Heather's suggestions. Heather, your work is amazing! I watch your videos all the time and there is a lot of "you" in my most recent projects. Thanks TQS for bringing this video to us. Joy

Kandinsky has always been a favorite of mine and I look at his books often, but I was never sure how to use it in fabric. I appreciate how you concentrate on a smaller element of the art, like color, or a small section of interest. It makes it less overwhelming. Ideas are brewing now! Thanks for the great video!

Thanks for the reminder to look to great artists for inspiration. Paul Klee and Joan Miro are two of my favorites, too! I haven't looked at my books of their work in years - I'm going to go pull them out right now!

Very interesting. I had been looking at Klee, Mondrian and early Kandinsky myself. I especially love your Klee homage piece.
