Yes, the sidewalk artist is also amazing. Yes, it's called perspective but not every artist can do it so well.

I think you would have to have your object come off the material edge, stuffed slightly and the Shading is key around the lower half. I think it could be done on a quilt also because it too is a flat surface like paper!
