It's that time of year.  Have you made any quilting resolutions for 2016?  Are you going to finish that UFO, clean out your stash, write a book?  Add a comment and let TQS know what you are up to for 2016.

Here are some great resolutions from Gayle Norman at RickyTims.com.

I RESOLVE not to feel guilty when I buy fabric with absolutely no future use in mind. It makes me immensely happy to buy it, fondle it and just look at it and that makes it worth it!
I RESOLVE that next year when I look at that same fabric and wonder why the heck I bought it, I still won't feel guilty but simply pass it on to a friend, the Goodwill, a retirement facility, or an organization that does charity quilts.
I RESOLVE that I will continue to guard carefully my sewing and quilting time. This keeps me happy and able to serve the rest of my world.
I RESOLVE that I will continue to support and encourage all the young people in my life who take an interest in this craft that I am so passionate about.
I RESOLVE to surround myself as much as possible with friends who love quilting and fabric collecting as much as I do.
And lastly, I REFUSE to put deadlines or limits on my creative spirit.

My word for 2016 is "Celebrate!" as there are several happening this year. I want to create a special quilt to honour my mother's centennary in June (she died in 2004, in her 88th year). My son is being married in July (a quilt with a "Japanese taupe" feel has been designed and is under construction). And it marks the 10th anniversary of my DH's death from Type 1 Diabetes (a special art project, Mark on the Body, will have its stitching done by that anniversary in August...and I'll begin exploring venues to show it. For more info, or to participate, please visit http://www.markonthebody.blogspot.com. Thanks and here's to a great year! :-)

My goals are to finish a few of my UFO's and to get better at machine quilting on my domestic machine.:-)

Planning to get rid of all those quilt magazines I've subscribed to and saved over the past five years.

I have been sick this past year and my quilting got put aside. I am struggling really hard to get back on my feet or at my sewing machine again to finish my 'disappearing hourglass quilt' that I was working on last year and that is now a UFO. I would love to have it completed for my Granddaughters birthday around the middle of May. Here's hoping...

I'm using my NutriBullet RX to lose weight. I am using it for two months straight. So far I've lost 6 lbs. in 8 days!

Multi-resolutio n: make quilts for others. Our guild does warm kids quilts. I vow to make at least one this year having never done so. I also will make quilts of valor. I've already gotten a great start for several over Xmas so will get those done this year and donated which I have never done. I will also participate by entering quilts in guild shows -- again which I have never done. I have already made a 12x12 over Xmas to answer a call to our guild for our spring show for a special 12x12 exhibit.

I have resolved to finish one UFO in between each new project, and hope the new projects don't become UFOs.

:-) I resolve to take the quilt "dancing" in my head(for my son) to the dance floor of my machine. I can hear my machine humming. With the grace of God, I will finish this project.

I have 4 quilt tops ready to quilt. Have one on my long arm. But my resolution is not to touch any of that until my house has been cleaned from top to bottom. Due to my Mom needing a lot of help last year, everything was put on hold. Mom is doing better, so now to my thing.
