Kathy McNeil "hand-appliquéd 123 different fabrics to create a seascape" that only existed in her imagination to create Natural Wonders. Her quilt truly represents the saying that if you put your mind to it, you can accomplish anything.

Kathy's quilt, Natural Wonders, won 1st Place Art-Naturescapes, sponsored by Gammill Quilting Systems, at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, 2012.

This is an amazing quilt! I love the perspective in it as well as the wonderful use of color. The quilting adds to the realistic shapes and forms.

What a gift Kathy has to create this from her imagination. The blues in the water are perfect as are the colors in the stones and sky. Wonderful!!
