3372_dsc_0006.jpgRicky found more than a piano sitting on top of an old abandoned mine, he also found gold...golden cookies that is... Chocolate Chip Treasure Cookies.

These yummy, traditional cookies just cry out for a great big glass of milk, white as the snow outside his window.

Ricky wants you to grab a cookie, grab a glass and then sit down to watch the TQS Legend Show featuring Katie Pasquini Masopust (coming Sunday 12/18/2016) or one our TQS favorites, Jingle Bells. These cookies will have you laughing all the way.

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. butter, softened (can use 1/2 cup of butter and a 1/4 cup of Crisco)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c. Semi-Sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Beat sugar, brown sugar and butter until creamy (3-5 min.). Add egg and vanilla extract; mix well. Gradually blend in flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets  Bake 8-10 minutes. Allow to stand 2 minutes before removing from cookie sheets; cool completely. Makes about twenty 2 1/2" cookies.
