Two long years ago in March of 2007, I submitted a story about a quilt ministry I had started because of a trip my husband had made to Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. I have been blessed by many of the "thequiltshow.com" membership who have sent me quilts for the kids. I recently reached the goal of 90 quilts !! yeah!! Now that this goal has been reached, my husband and I will make plans to take the quilts to the orphans in September. Of course, the ministry continues. Another orphanage has been brought to my attention just south of Sulaymaniyah. So, work on your UFO's ladies and I know some precious souls who have nothing to call their own who would be overjoyed to have their very own quilt made by loving people and loving hands.
