Caryl Bryer Fallert has a new exhibit which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the making of her first art quilt (Red Poppies) in 1983.
Caryl says, "The thirty quilts, all of which are new, revisit many of the themes of my past, award-winning work, and introduce new themes. Although there is diversity in style, the uniform size of the quilts (30" x 30") pulls the exhibit together visually. All of these quilts are made with fabric from the various collections I have designed for Benartex, which are based on my original hand-dyed and painted fabrics."
The exhibit will premiere at the International Quilt Festival in Houston TX in Oct./Nov. 2013, after which it will travel to other museums, galleries, and shows.
