The Hollywood Costume Exhibit is now open at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Sponspored by Harry Winston, Jeweller to the Stars, This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see over 100 of the most iconic costumes in the history of film-making. Hollywood Costume explores the most beloved characters in Hollywood history and gives an insight on the role of the costume designer. The exhibition includes costumes from many of the greatest films of all time including The Wizard of Oz and Gone with the Wind, plus recent releases including Pirates of the Carribean and The Iron Lady.

The exhibition runs from October 20, 2012 - January 27, 2013.  For a four week loan only, until November 18, you can see the original Ruby slippers worn by Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz.  The slippers are on loan from the National Museum of American History.
