P.S.  TQS Member Dana Lynch's quilt went for over $400 in the first round.  Way to go Dana!

We're heading down to the wire and as of about 5:30 PST, here's where the bidding stands.  Ricky is in the lead for ROOTing, but some of the ladies have pulled ahead in the quilt auction.    You still have time to own a piece of quilting history while donating to a worthwhile cause.  To ROOT for Ricky for just $1, click here.  If you'd like to bid on a quilt, click here.  There is also still time to order earrings.  Every little bit helps, let's make them all winners!

Today is the last day to bid on quilts in the World Series Quilt Challenge Auction to support the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (AAQI).  Every dollar contributed will help to stamp out this horrible disease.  Help Ami and her tireless group of volunteers make this the best auction ever.  Even if you can't afford to bid on a quilt, you can ROOT on your favorite team player for just $1.

We have had a lot of fun with this event. However, nobody "wins" as long as Alzheimer's is still around. Show your support by "rooting" or bidding during these last hours.

The World Series Quilt Challenge to benefit the Alzhiemer's Art Quilt Initiative ends tomorrow and it looks like Sue and Ami might be indulging in sort of last-minute shenanigans...Just who is going to win that MVP award? We can't let this kind of foolishness cause Ricky to lose the challenge.  Click here to ROOT FOR RICKY or click here to bid on his quilt.  Remember, every dollar helps to find the cure.

You can purchase Ami's cute ultra-light earrings here.

The Houston Quilt Festival might be over, but the World Series Quilt Challenge to benefit the Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative is still in progress through November 10th.  You still have time left to bid on a quilt from a world-class quilt artist, or ROOT FOR RICKY!  This photo gives you some idea of the actual size of these miniature masterpieces.

Me and my buddy, Ami, were talking yesterday and we're just not sure if we should let Ricky be the MVP of the Alzhiemer's Art Quilt Iniatiative World Series Quilt Challenge.  After all, he was the cover boy of the Houston Chronicle on Friday.  How many accolades does one man need?

So, TQS, get out there and ROOT for anyone, but Ricky.  Place a bid on anyone's quilt, but Ricky's. Buy a pair of ultra-light earrings, just not Ricky's.  Give someone else a chance to shine.

Another great turn out at the TQS member meet and greet on Saturday.  Captain John and Alex joined the crew and even Paula Nadelstern and Meg Cox can be seen lurking in the background.  Raise your hand if you were there!
