High Fiber is a  benefit art sale created to support fiber artists and the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, in San Jose, California. This year the museum is expanding the event to two weeks, running October 22-November 6, 2011, with a VIP Preview Rectipn on Saturday, October 22 from 5 to 7pm.

Along with the benefit there will be the art of collecting symposium on Saturday, October 22, from 1-4:30pm. This will be a conversation about art collecting with Chere Mah, Jo Ann Stabb, and Deobrah Valoma, internationally known art educators and collectors.

On Sunday, October 23, from 9am to 6pm will be the art of collecting tour.  This is an exceptional opportunity to see San Francisco Bay Area art collections in the homes of Diane & Dr. Harry Greenberg and Joan & Glenn Vinson, along with a gourmet lunch.

Today is Antique Tractor Preservation Day in West Plains, Missouri and Michael Hinton, Global Sales and Marketing Manager of GAMMILL QUILTING SYSTEMS went out of his way to make it so by having  Jeremiah W. It's that time of year, if you quilt, sew, or craft you won't want to miss C & T Publishing's annual sale, September 10, 2011. Their warehouse will be filled with more than 170 titles for sale. There are books on fiber arts, quilting, needle arts, mixed media and paper crafts. You can splurge on items priced rom $2 to $5 (we're talking books originally priced at $29.95).  They have even lower prices on patterns, magazines, and gift items.

There will also be a special quilter's booth where C & T will be discounting holiday gift items such as bags, journals, and note cards.

C & T is located at 1651 Challenge Drive, Concord, CA. The hours are 11 a.m to 3 p.m for the general public. If you are going make sure to get there early.  There is usually a line and don't forget to bring your bags or boxes to bring home your haul.
