Grandma sent Alex a bag of unfinished Grandma's Flower Garden blocks. Then for the final unit needed to graduate from college, Alex created this quilt. For the exact measurements--see "bathmat" in the dictionary.

There are rumors that "Project Runway" was conceived after viewing this picture.

Here is one of the wonderful presentation areas for Alex at Houston.  It even had noted celebrities dropping by for a photo op.  Come back later today for the first quilt and early signs of sewing talent.

I wasn't going to include this quilt because the colors between the full quilt picture and the detail don't appear the same.  However, I wanted another explanation of the Blooming Ninepatch and I remember being taken by it in person.  Dear Faith, I'm sorry about the camera work.
