It was a big night for quilting at the annual IQA award show.  We just returned from the ceremony, and our heads are still swimming after seeing each and every winning quilt revealed.  The variety, skill, and creativity were astounding.  Here are a few of the winning quilts we wanted to share with you.

The Pacific International Quilt Festival is just around the corner and TheQuiltShow.com will have an intrepid reporter at the show. PIQF is always an amazing show and a lot of fun.  The quilts and vendors are great and there is a lot of parking.  

 If our reporter can identify you as a quilt show member, because you are wearing a pin, badge, sandwich board, etc., showing you are a member, she'll snap your photo for the PIQF blog.  If a group of you are getting together at the show, leave a comment and she'll try and seek out your group.  If you have a quilt in the show, leave a comment, and she'll seek out your quilt.  We look forward to seeing  you there.

The current show has some great gift ideas, but now we need ideas from you.  Throughout the next week we will ask for good gift ideas for different people on your list.  Today we want to know what to give adult males in the family.  Sure they would love a new Ferrari, but let's keep the ideas under $100.

Watch the quilts go up in the trees at Quilting in the Garden 2009. Take a tour of Alden Lane nursery in Livermore, California with the plants, the fountains and the quilts. Laura Wasilowski, Joanna Figueroa, and the Pixieladies made the event even more fun. The show included quilts from the featured artists, Alex Anderson and the talented local artists. Take a look.
