Over the last thirty years, Pat Nickols amassed a wondrous collection of mostly American quilts; a quilt and fabric historian, her knowledge of this important genre of American folk art is boundless. The collection is comprised of traditional quilts made from the early 1800s to the 1950s, gathered from many parts of the United States. It includes excellent examples of many types of quilts including Log Cabin, Charm, String and Signature quilts, and quilts made with feed, flour, and sugar sacks.
350 quilts from the Pat L. Nickols Collection are now photographed and available for viewing online! Please visit their Collections page to browse the Pat L. Nickols Quilt Collection.

It was an idea. Could two quilters from different worlds take their love of teaching to the internet? Watch as they play off of each other for the very first time. There are no scripts and no cue cards. Alex flew to La Veta at Ricky's invitation to sit down together and see if there was any magic.
What do you think? Magic?

Libby looked wonderful receiving her Distinguished Alumni Award from Rice University this past weekend. She greeted friends and family, as well as others, for about an hour and a half. One of the highlights of the evening was that Libby's neurosurgeon, Dr. Dannenbaum and his wife Caroline, came to the dinner. Libby had the biggest group there. The group that put on the event called Libby's area "Libby's Lane". It was a very big honor for her and all of her friends and family are extremely proud of her.
You can read about Libby's preparations, her big night, and see more pictures here at the CaringBridge.org.
