Here's an entry from IQF Houston 2012 from the Art-Pictorial category sponsored by AccuQuilt. Margaret Kessler's quilt, BBK - Bookcase Before Kindles, takes us to a time before iPods and tablets.

Terrific bookcase. One to study, to find a treasure whether it be a book or a memento.

A bookcase worth browsing and finding a written treasure! I feel as if it were in my own home!

This is really an interesting quilt, with so much detail it takes a long time to see everything but my favorite addition is the page out of the Dick and Jane reader.Love its.

Margaret, your bookcase looks like one I would want to sit down and pull out a book and begin my adventure. Thank you.

I so agree with leafy! Absolutely love this bookcase, with not only lots of fun 'books' , but the memorabilia with them on the shelves. This is what my bookcase would probably look like if I didn't have an ereader. I still have some actual books but not as many anymore.

:D Most bookcase quilts are kind of boring, but this one has so many interesting details! Including the book titles! Love it...good job!
