For the past six years I have had the delicious opportunity to head to the CA foothills with my buddies Joen Wolfrom (show 103) and Darra Williamson. What started as a three-night gig has grown to six! Personally, I thought it was five nights this year, but Joen and Darra showed up on my doorstep one day early - so off we went (someone needs a keeper). Many plans and ideas have incubated, hatched, and grown at The Summit - Industry executives should quake in their boots during this timeframe -LOL. In addition, we sew our hearts and brains out. This year we took a field trip to Columbia State Park, so Darra could find the perfect repro fabric for a Churn Dash quilt at Lindy's Store, Fancy Dry Goods (as seen on the road trip). We found the perfect fabric then headed to Hammond's (that is where I got the famous green shoes) - and we all purchased another pair - two black and one purple. Of course the trip would not be complete without stopping at Bunny Rose and Co in Groveland (also seen on the road trip). Joen is working on a quilt for her pattern company, JWD Publishing and as for myself - the Chuppah is taking serious form. I'll give you a sneak peek tomorrow. We are having FUN FUN FUN at the Summit!
