Bid for a quilt and help a great cause. The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative Small Format On-line Quilt Auction is going on now, but ends on Wednesday at 10pm Eastern time (March 10th). There are 26 small format art quilts you can bid on in this month's "Slow and Silent Auction". Your generous bid is appreciated by the artists who made these beautiful quilts and by everyone struggling to end this vile disease.
The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative (www.AlzQuilts.org) is a national, grassroots charity whose mission is to raise awareness and fund research. The AAQI auctions and sells donated quilts, and sponsors a nationally touring exhibit of quilts about Alzheimer's. The AAQI has raised more than $379,000 since January 2006.
