TQS is coming to New York in April and the New York visitors Bureau found out. It turns out that the person in charge of the Big Screen on Times Square is a TQS fan and flashed the news to New York that TQS was on it's way to the Big Apple.
The sign was a hit and the Visitors Bureau was beseiged with calls. Most said it was about time that Quilting was recognized as the art of the people, by the people and for the people.
This honor coincided with President Obama presenting a quilt to each of the G20 leaders in England this week. The symbolism of diverse fabrics being joined as one was not lost on the leaders as they seek to stitch together a path to freedom and prosperity.
