Paducah, KY, USA, May 17, 2008 - U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield announced today at the Museum of the American Quilter's Society that a congressional designation has been passed naming the Museum as The National Quilt Museum of the United States.
Designation of the facility as The National Museum will bring additional attention and help increase the number of visitors. The Museum averages 40,000 visitors per year from across the country and at least 25 foreign countries.
