You are in for a treat. Be sure to Zoom In close. The quilting designs, motifs, and quality are fantastic.

The magazine is better on your desktop or laptop computer. The iPad works great. Tap on a picture twice to enlarge it and then swipe your fingers as usual to increase it even larger. On the Kindle, tap a picture twice to enlarge it. I do not know how to zoom in further with a Kindle (please leave a comment if you do). I currently don't own an Android tablet. Let us know in the comments how it works on those.

The Slideshow "Smilebox" is included below for those who have trouble with the magazine approach.

Click Here or on the picture to start the magazine with Zoom abilities.

To learn how she creates some of her pieces, watch Special Effects with Color in Christine's classroom. In her class, Christine demystifies color and shows you how to choose and combine fabrics—“magic fabrics”—to create special effects, such as luminosity, transparency, luster, and opalescence.

Get acquainted with the basics (they are the building blocks of color) and put the concepts into practice with ten easy color studies. See how “the color makes the quilt” in a number of same-design, different-colorway examples.

You can also learn more about Christine in Episode 1407: The "New" Traditional: A Marvelous Mix of Fabric, Style, and Stitches.

Ricky is back from Dubai and is sharing the winning quilts from the International Quilt Show.

Please enjoy it in magazine or Smilebox format. The magazine requires great broadband because the pictures can be zoomed in. Also the magazine works best with Chrome or Firefox. We have had some problems with Internet Explorer.
