As promised here are more fabulous quilts from the International Quilt Festival in Chicago. TQS member, Ritzy, sent more photos and shares them here.  This time we'll see quilts from the Celebrate Spring exhibit, the Traditional Treasures 2010 exhibit, and the Quilts: A World of Beauty exhibit.

You'll see the creativity of some of our TQS guests as well.  Look for works by David Taylor (Show 406), Melinda Bula (Show 501), and Joanie Zeier Poole (Show 509), along with inspiration by Libby Lehman (Show 112 and Show 513).

Thanks again, Ritzy!

It's not too late to start working on the 2010 Pieced BOM - Star Crazy by Sue Garman. To inspire you to create, we've created a little slideshow to see what your fellow TQS members have been working on. These photos came from the BOM Show & Tell area and there are many more for you to view. The Show & Tell area is a great place to show your progress, get comments, and ask for advice. It's also a great place to go for inspiration, as you'll soon see.

You can download the monthly patterns for free just by clicking here.

I love Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA!  We are right downtown near the Convention Center.  Minneapolis is a fun and very clean town with interesting sites.  I love the skybridges that connect the buildings.

Minnesota is known as the "Land of 10,000 Lakes".  They love water.  Watch for the fountains.  These pictures were taken within a 4 block area around our hotel.

In April 2009, a quilt show was held at the El Pueblo Quilt Museum. The El Pueblo Museum in partnership with the Pride City Quilt Guild combined to create an exhibit of quilts created by Southern Colorado quilters. It was a chance for quilters from small communities to share their work.  Down the street was the Quilt and Stitch Expo with 2,000 in attendance and over 57 vendors. Don't worry if you missed it, a new show will take place March 31-April 2, 2011 and the Quilt and Stitch Expo will take place April 1-2, 2011.

Whenever a guest artist joins Ricky and Alex for a taping of The Quilt Show, they are asked to bring along a quilt block that represents their work. Sometimes it is very easy to identify who made the blocks, sometimes, not so easy.

Alex is taking the latest set of blocks and putting them together into a striking, graphic quilt. You'll get a chance to see blocks by guests from some of the earliest shows and a peek at some of the upcoming guests as well.

To make it a little bit more exciting, we've left 6 blocks without a name. (Yes we missed 2 blocks, and they will be shown with the answers on Monday.)  They are labelled Guess Number 1 through Guess Number 6. Submit a comment and tell us if you know who made those blocks. Have fun!
