The delightful Allie Aller joins Alex and Ricky to demonstrate her latest stained glass technique for quilting. The sky’s the limit when it comes to the variety of design options too. No longer bound by using only cotton, oh no! Allie mixes silk, cotton, brocades, and even wool together to create stunning detailed and dimensional results.

Alex and Ricky are joined on the set by Zentangle master, former cosmetologist, and quilt artist Nysha Oren Nelson, who demonstrates six elements of marks in his free-motion quilt designs. Then, self-appointed Queen of Tuffets Sharyn Cole shows that these little jewels of eye candy aren’t just for Victorian ladies of yore.

 

Take a look behind the scenes as Lyric Kinard tapes her Show 2013: Art and Abstract Design. In the show, she uses a simple technique to create an abstract design. She even has Alex and Ricky join in the fun as students. She also shares the results of her 365-Day of "Drawing Faces Project," which lead her to better understand the road map of the human face.
