Up Close and Personal - Tiger - The second in this series. I like the dramatic simplicity of this image. I have patterns for sale.

Tiger Lilies - Machine appliqued while taking the onlline class Flower Power with Susan Brittingham at Quilt University. I used both commercial and my own hand dyed cotton fabric.

Fresh Air - This Irish Chain variation was a simple pieced quilt with a wavy border, which is the setting for yo-yo flowers and embroidered stems.

Fresh Vegetables - The savory tastes of fresh summer produce inspired this quilt. I loved using a variety of printed fabrics to make each vegetable.

Fresh Catch - This art quilt is an image of the 4th Avenue beach in front of my family's home in Bradley Beach, New Jersey. It is entirely pieced except for the sun and fishing pole.

Summer Harvest - Pre-quilted canvas,hand painted using artist's paintstiks.

Summer Daze - I made this quilt using a new tool I designed, the Easy Star and Geese Ruler, which is just being manufacured and launched by EZ Wrights. The fabrics are by RJR -- the Summer Daze line. This quilt was loads of fun to make, and with the ruler, there is no math needed to make the flying geese and no fabric waste!

Seed Packet Blooms - Making this quilt in the winter ... it reminded me of the optimism and hope that all those gorgeous flower images evoke on displays of seed packets.

Baby Bloomers - This is my newest baby quilt pattern, called Baby Bloomers. It is a easy pattern to make and goes together quickly. I just released it and it seems to be a big seller. I love the bright, fun colors as do most babies.

Rhapsody In Bloom - I loved every picture in the book Watercolor Impressions by Pat Maixner Margaret & Donna Ingram Slusser. The cover, though, was so captivating. After purchasing a bunch of 2" squares on eBay, I set out to make this. It was my second 'watercolor' attempt. What a long process. But what a sense of accomplishment. There was no accompanying pattern, so I plowed through it 'my way'. I am pleased with the outcome. I began making this with the thought of giving this to my sister. Needless to say, it took over 6 months and was a little late for her birthday. But it was worth it and she really liked it.

Blooming Star - A challenge to find the fabrics - the next challenge is the quilting!

Blooming by the Weathered Fence - This quilt recreates a very simple photograph of some flowers against an old wooden fence. The background of the scene is done with piecing. The flower and petal details are “puzzle pieced” appliqué. I wanted a few of the blooms to be more prominent so each petal is quilted separately. The centers of the flowers are knotted pieces of yarn to give them texture. I utilized commercial cotton fabrics in this piece.

pink hibuscus - My pink hibiscus was drawn from a photograph that I took. I sketched the flower, then drew the pattern. The center of the flower is fused, but the remaining is machine pieced and quilted, with beading details.

Pretty in Pink LoneStar - LoneStar Quilt done with Jackie Robinson's Fuschia fabric line.

Corey's Train - 1st applique quilt made. Train engines are all different materials. Clouds are double thickness to preserve the bright white.

Four Seasons From A Train Window - The quilt consists four panels made by the members of the group and is constructed with the full consent of the artist. From left to right the panels are: Spring by Carla, Summer by me, Autumn by Klaske and Winter by Julie Each member added something of herself by interpreting a season and by making a panel in her own choice of materials

Nick's Train - Made for grandson who was wild about anything to do with trains at the age of 5.
