Floral Fireworks - This is a close-up of part of the art quilt - Floral Fireworks. The flower petals were made from a base fabric that I had woven from 9 different fabrics. Angelina Fibers and beads are at the center of the flower. Stitching and yarns enclose the outside of the flower petal.
Purple Fantasy - This quilt was designed on EQ6 with the help of my boss, Charlotte , who owns the fabric shop that I work in part-time. I just wanted to use these fabrics because she was about to put them in her "clearance corner".
self portrait #1 - This is my third thread painting quilt and I am still in the beginnings of the learning process. I am experimenting with layering and mixing the thread like paint, so far, my vision has eluded me, but I persevere out of pure delight in the process!
Rhododendron - Paper pieced hexagon flowers. Free form curved piecing of the leaves. I tried to show the luminosiry of the flowers as the light hits the petals.
Sharing Blueberries - Machine applique using technique taught by Marilyn Belford in Realistic Fabric Portraits. Photo taken of my grandson and dog both of whom were 18 months old. Steven is sharing his blueberries with Katie the dog.

Honora - Machine appliqued based on a technique taught by Marilyn Belford in Realistic Fabric Portraits taken in an online class at QuiltUniversity.com. Fabrics used are both commercial and my own hand dyed fabrics.
Tiger Lilies - Machine appliqued while taking the onlline class Flower Power with Susan Brittingham at Quilt University. I used both commercial and my own hand dyed cotton fabric.
Jewelry Horse - Entirely machine curved pieced. Made with commercial cotton fabric and my own hand dyed cotton fabrics. The horse is machine quilted with metalic thread. The background machine quilted with varigated cotton thread.
Three Wise Women - I used part of a batik panel in this quilt and then made fabric to use in the other parts of the quilt. It was inspired by a class led by Susan Vassallo. It is heavily embellished with beads.
God Bless Freedom - This quilt was made as a housewarming gift for my brother and his wife. He is retired military and has a section of his livingroom decorated in a patriotic theme. Although it is not used it is on display and well appreciated.
Fiston's quilt - This little quilt was a present for a friend!
It has a picture of her much adored cat " Fiston" on it !
She was very surprised when I gave it to her and she couldn't stop talking about it!
Christmas Medallion - Red and green bears paw on yellow background, surrounded by red and yellow triangles, green and paisley borders. Quilt is not yet bound.
August Sunflowers - I used the approximate shape of the sunflowers on the purchased lap quilt. Then I just did my own thing and came up with a design for a wall hanging.
Turn by Turn - Made with masculine colors for my husband's birthday. He drives 3.5 hours from our factory back to home every other weekend since I have the work the entire opposite weekend.
Tyler's quilt - This little quilt is the first one I've made for my new grandson, scheduled to be born April 26th. The colors are those chosen by our DIL for his nursery.
Cherry Blossoms - I saw this quilt in a quilt store in Utah while visiting my grandchildren. I loved the big applique flowers. I bought the kit and additional fabrics. The colors are so bright and cheery. I made it for my granddaughter's fourth birthday and hope to make a matching pillowcase.
