ABQ for my dinning room
Name of Maker: Sylvie "ViVi L'Amour" Mathis
ABQ for my dinning room - I didn't like the panels as they were, so I cut each block and re-build the panels to my taste and to the size I needed the finished quilt… Was a lot of work, but at the end I have what I wanted. Both panels fit perfectly in my dining room and I Love It! Thank you to the people of Southwest Decoratives – Kokopelli Quilting Company.
Susan's Grandmother's Love Ring
Name of Maker: Marilyn Smith, Susan Burns, Sue Barbarick
Susan's Grandmother's Love Ring - My best friend asked me to help her make a quilt for her first grandchild. The mother to be chose the pattern(which I had to reduce 60% to make a small quilt) and the fabrics. My friend and her mother cut out the pieces.....almost 1000 of them, and I did the sewing. My friend did the ironing and she brought wine, so it was quite a fun time. We worked on it one afternoon a week for 2 months. The pattern is from McCall's Quilting Magazine and is called Grandmother's Love Ring. I free motion machine quilted with a small amount of echo quilting and what I call "headbands". It turned out beautifully and the shower for its debut is June 5. Such fun. With some of the leftover fabric we got together one afternoon and made a patchwork bear to go with it.

Jack's 3rd Birthday Quilt
Name of Maker: KATHLEEN DEMINSKI
Jack's 3rd Birthday Quilt - My nephew Jack loves fish so I decided to make him an I Spy Fishies quilt for his 3rd birthday. I sprinkled in some birds, palm trees and kites for a fun in the sun look and used a tropical scene panel on the back surrounded by ocean waves. I made a small pillow to match for naps.
Under the Sea
Name of Maker: KATHLEEN DEMINSKI
Under the Sea - This was my first quilt. I loved the focus fabric so much that I used it whenever I could in other quilts. This quilt reminds me of filtered blue light illuminating the sea floor.
Emergence
Name of Maker: KATHLEEN DEMINSKI
Emergence - I enjoyed using an asian fabric for this technique. The shattered image was interesting to work with and I liked using the appliqued butterflies to "emerge" from the quilt.
My First Big Mystery
Name of Maker: KATHLEEN DEMINSKI
My First Big Mystery - This quilt is from my first mystery retreat. The very small half sqare triangles and traditional two color design was quite a departure from what I had done previously. I was very happy to finish it!

Sail Boats for Eric - Lots of half square triangles and primary colors in a gift for my daughter and my soon to be first grandson. This was part of a baby shower gift that had a nautical theme.
Love to Mum
Name of Maker: Kay Quitko
Love to Mum - Made from a panel, I believe it was by Moda, and four photos of my Mother transfered to fabric. She was about 10 in the first one, then 20, next 50 and finally 90. The scalloped edge and eyelet finish was suggested by the panel blocks. It hung above her bed til she passed away.
I Finally Have My Morning Glories
Name of Maker: Sally Eshelman
I Finally Have My Morning Glories - Designed using methods learned in Ruth McDowell's class that I took in Kalispell, Montana.
