Lily's Bag
Name of Maker: cjmquilt
Lily's Bag - I don't see my niece very often because she lives in Ca. and I live in New York. While she was here in May, she admired a quilted pocketbook I had made for myself, so I decided to make her something of her very own! She's 26 and a gifted artist. I picked out bright, cheerful fabrics for her, and quilted them with a decorative, heart-shaped stitch. I also put extra pockets on the inside, as she seemed to like having extra "hiding places" in her bag. I then made a heart-shaped button from polymer clay to sew over the back part of the magnetic snap. I had to put the holes in other than the usual places so I could sew the button over the metal. It is now on its way via UPS....
Mango Tango
Name of Maker: MarjorieE
Mango Tango - A bold quilt in oranges and purples seemed like a color scheme little kids could enjoy....it was too bright for me!
Tucker's Quilt
Name of Maker: MarjorieE
Tucker's Quilt - I wanted to make something not too babyish for Tucker. His mom has a good design sense, so something dark and dramatic seemed like a good idea. He's turned out to be a spunky little guy, so maybe this has inspired him.
Chocolate Rag Quilt
Name of Maker: Lynn Parrish
Chocolate Rag Quilt - Simple quilt as you go rag quilt in browns, greens and reds
Turquoise Dreams
Name of Maker: Leslie A. McNeil
Turquoise Dreams - Inspired by what I saw in Albuquerque a few years ago, I made this table runner, "Turquoise Dreams" which features turquoise flowers on rusty brown background blocks. The flowers have a dimensional appearance thanks to the ability to free motion couch using the #43 Bernina free motion cording foot, and complimentary and beautiful hand-dyed yarn (from Mountain Colors Company in Montana). There is heavy thread accents using Razzle Dazzle in the bobbin work of satin stitching and straight stitching for the flower center accents. This runner also features beading by machine, and the use of several different free motion quilting motifs, and multiple decorative and variegated threads like King Tut and Glitter from Superior Threads.
My Blue Stars
Name of Maker: Gary Crutchfield
My Blue Stars - The blue triangle in the sashing was used to add something different to this design
Rainbow Rider
Name of Maker: RRQG1
Rainbow Rider - I stacked and whacked my hand-dyed fabrics to create the blocks, then rotated each block a little before trimming, to make each slightly different. Circle quilting added bubbles that dance across the surface.
Connor's Prairie
Name of Maker: RRQG1
Connor's Prairie - Connor's father, an artist, grew up across the street from me. I used my hand-dyed fabrics to create this colorful quilt for his new son. Quilted between the color changes, it is bound with Ricky Timms' piped bindings technique.
Winter Light
Name of Maker: Ann L. Petersen
Winter Light - This quilt uses Japanese and American fabrics and traditional Pine Burr blocks to honor the quiet beauty of winter on the eastern slope of Colorado. Traditionally pieced, embellished with a speciality yarn couched in the blocks and piping in the border and binding.
The Great Gate of Kiev
Name of Maker: Robin Gausebeck
The Great Gate of Kiev - My interpretation of one of the pictures that inspired Moussorgsky's "Pictures at an Exhibition" - a drawing by 19th century [obscure] artist Victor Hartmann. To be auctioned by Rockford (IL) Symphony Orchestra as part of a fundraiser.
Twofer #1
Name of Maker: singquilt
Twofer #1 - The pattern makes two very different quilts at the same time - one basically a wall quilt, the other either a wall quilt or long table runner. I do have this one in the middle of my dining room table, however. It is strip pieced and then cut apart and placed on design wall.
Enchanted Evening
Name of Maker: katydid
Enchanted Evening - The centerpiece of this quilt is an art deco table runner that I purchased at an antique shop. I used a combination of Ricky Timms and Cherrywood hand dyes to mount the runner and construct the surrounding baskets. I called it Enchanted Evening because I saw the runner "...across a crowded room" and knew I had to have it!
Abstract #1
Name of Maker: Jackquelynn
Abstract #1 - This wall hanging is a result of a workshop on creating art quilts conducted by Sue Dennis. I love that it can be hung vertically or horizontally. I used some of my own hand dyed fabrics and accented it with a Shiva Paintstick and Angelina. It is machine-quilted following the ombre design of the fabric.
Michelle's quilt

Michelle's quilt - Michelle had all of the greens in a bag for years. I added red and white to add interest to a monochrome bunch o' fabrics.
