Cool Cats
Name of Maker: KT Gilbert
Cool Cats - I had some Laurel Burch fabric that I loved and wanted to use in a small wall hanging. I took one of the designs from the fabric, enlarged it, and appliqued it onto the quilt. Then, I cut out a smaller design from the fabric and appliqued it on as well. Strips from Laurel Burch fabric were appliqued on as accents. I tumble rocks as a hobby and so I added some the rocks I had gathered from Moonstone Beach in Cambria, CA (glued on). There are also Swarvorski crystals as embellishments and some gold and silver threads and even some couched Razzle Dazzle thread. This was a quilt that I simply played with and had fun making.

fushia quilt
Name of Maker: Linda Cortez
fushia quilt - I always like to learn something new with each quilt I make. What I learned with this quilt is--READ the directions! I saw this & liked it and it was all made with 5" squares. Great, how easy is that. ordered all the fabric. What I didn't notice is that all the squares are on the bias and individually cut . Whole totally new lesson to be learned.
