Red Roof Barn Slice Quilt

Red Roof Barn Slice Quilt - The "Slice Capades"is a group from our local guild, and this is our group's first attempt at a slice quilt. Six of us (Judy Nigh, Jeannette Larson, Lyn Anthoney, Suzanne Koenen, Nancy Hamilton, and Judy Lorino, clockwise from top left) were given 1/6 of an enlarged copy of an original watercolor by Suzanne Galli Koenen, and replicated our piece six times using whatever technique we chose. We exchanged our finished pieces and then had all six to make a complete copy of the original. We then combined our six pieces into a quilt, and those that were completed in time, were shown together at our Quilt Expo 2009 held this past March.

Quilt is machine pieced and quilted with heavy machine decorative stitching and free motion quilting. Hot fix crystals & beads have been added to flower centers.
