May Favorite Things - Strawberries and Alice, our 14 year old border collie are two of my favorite things.
I loved the wonky look of the skewed design. Used a border collie print and a strawberry print interspersed with other blacks, whites and red prints to carry out Lynn's design.
Fall Day - I was just playing with this small piece, I had painted the background fabric with Shiva oil sticks and it looked likes leaves in the wind, so the fall tree had to be planted. Just For fun!!
If You Can't Grow Them - For the straight strips in this quilt, I used a beautiful hydrangea flower fabric. For the last few years we have had such trouble with our hydrangea plant which wouldn't flower, therefore the name.
blue moods - Made as wedding present for my nice in law, and taken over to london for her wedding her mother gave me the colours she liked and i worked from that
Sisterhood - My quilt guild's challenge - quilt had to have at least one Sister's Choice Block. I entry - "Sisterhood" celebrating being 1 of 5 Sisters. This quilt was also featured in McCall's Quick Quilts, July/1999 (pg 54-56).
Up, Up and Away - This is my first-ever completed quilt. It was made in 2002 for my SO's first grandson. He lives in Park City, UT, where hot air balloons fly all the time, so I knew he would like it.
Plaid Basketweave - I used my plaid fat quarters stash to make the quilt. My quilt was featured in the April 1999 issue of Mc Call's Quilting (pg 48-50).
T'Was the Night Before Christmas - This quilt was so much fun to make. I personalized the blocks in various places to include my grandsons' names and make it a little more masculine where possible.
Home Sweet Home - The day after I saw & purchased the American Folk Art Museum's Home Sweet Home Fabric Collection designed by Kathy Hall I pieced this wall hanging.
Ribbon & Roses - The quilt blocks for this quilt were designed by Ruth Stonesifer for Byrne Sewing Connection's 2005 BOM. To complete the quilt top I purchased fabric from Marianne Elizabeth's Giiverny collection.
Floating on the endless river - Memory wall quilt for a wonderful day at Wild Water Park in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Used photo and Kaleidoscope Kreator and machine embroidery to record the day.
