Timberline
Name of Maker: Penny Marble
Timberline - I had the opportunity to teach this quilt to quite a few students - it requires a lot of cutting - and I mean A LOT of cutting, but the results are well worth it. I love when we can tackle an obstacle that students are anxious about - this quilt helps us get over Y seams. I chose the blue and yellow theme in honor of my alma matar - Medaille College in Buffalo, NY.

I also chose to borrow from VanGogh's "Starry Night" for my hand quilting.

Name of Maker: Debbie Butler Miller
shelti - While at the Harrisburg Pa Dog show in March, I was showing my "Moonshine Quilt" to a fellow artist. Rona just happened to be in Bev's booth, took on look at my quilt and asked me where I bought it. When my friend Bev told her that I make them, she asked if I had my camera with me and took me by the hand. Before I knew it I was snapping pictures of her daughters sheltie! Sheltie is an original from the pictures I took that day. The pattern process is of my own design.

Flip Flop Quilt
Name of Maker: Penny Marble
Flip Flop Quilt - I saw this quilt pattern demonstrated by Linda Ballard on Simply Quilts years and years ago and just love to put it together. It consists of 4 different blocks and is so easy, but it looks so difficult. I wanted to do a Project Linus quilt, but for an older child or teen. I found the flip flop fabric (say that 10 times fast!) on a shop hop, and it was perfect. I paired it with jewel tones, embroidered some flip flops and sunglasses, and voila.
Springtime in Baltimore
Name of Maker: Debbie Madigan
Springtime in Baltimore - I was asked by the Midwest Division of the American Cancer Society to make a wallhanging for raffle at their Relay for Life event. I was very happy to do donate my time and fabric to this wonderful organization. For me, I bond with the quilts I make and the same holds true for this one. Finishing it was a good feeling; yet, it was difficult to say good-bye to it after spending so many days together. It was definitely a memorable journey.
