Just Making A Point
Name of Maker: Shirlee Carter
Just Making A Point - I created this quilt as part of the 2010 Hoffman Challenge, adapting a pattern by Valori Wells called "Firefly". My quilt is named "Just Making A Point" and has been selected as part of the 2010 Hoffman Fabric traveling trunk show.
Scrap Quilt Three
Name of Maker: Nan Tuckerman
Scrap Quilt Three - Feeling more adventurous with this one. I am not fond of machine quilting and have been sticking to straight line but in this one I tried to do more FMQ - with limited success. I was unsure of quilting the borders but was inspired by Libby Lehman's tutorial with the Circular Embroidery attachment. I soon realised its impossible to do that process on a full quilt so I ended up using the walking foot and a variety of machine stitches (I was listening Ricky) around paper cirle templates. I like this one
Scrap Quilt Two
Name of Maker: Nan Tuckerman
Scrap Quilt Two - Not sure where I got this idea from - various pictures over the years and Google Images for scrap quilts. I didn't have a pattern for this - just worked it out myself. I am pleased with how it went together - I tried to be random and not worry about placing the colours but I found myself trying not to put the same colours side by side and now notice that I failed in that!
Scrap Quilt One
Name of Maker: Nan Tuckerman
Scrap Quilt One - Was feeling at a loss wanted to sew ut not sure what to make so - on a whim decided to cut up my small stash into squares and various witdths strips and just sew. This is the first one finished. I like it and think is fits together well. Quilting is straight line - just enough to hold it all together.

Rainforest Babies
Name of Maker: Karen Pelletier
Rainforest Babies - I saw this quilt as you go method on TQS episode 212 when they visited Bunny Rose at her Yurt. They were making charity quilts. I did mine horizontally instead of vertically as this worked better with the animal fabric. I made this for a young friend's first baby boy.
October Dreams
Name of Maker: Norma Hornung
October Dreams - I was so inspired by Gloria Loughman (show 612).that I ordered her book and thought, I would make a pillowcase with an extended version of her Leave pattern. But after a while I realized, that it had to be a quilt. It was so funny and not nearly as difficult as it seems to be.
