Promised Poppies - Designed from some photographs of poppies. Our Quilt Guild has a monthly challenge to complete a small quilt/placemat based on different themes - November was Remembrance Day, so I made this poppy. It has applique, thread play, punch embroidery and soon glitter.
Cathedral Wall - Cathedral Windows blocks set in untraditional setting to simulate cathedral wall with ivy. Used hand dyed, batik and commercial fabrics. Machine quilted on Bernina 153.
To The Rescue - I made this baby quilt for Jackson whose father is a member of the Cincinnati Fire Department and whose grandmother drives the Rescue Truck for her local fire department. When I saw the pattern on Keepsake Quilting's website I just knew it would be perfect for this little one.
beyond butterflies - using 2 blocks from carol doak's book on paper peicing i designed this quilt using the fabric motifs for inspiration for the applique
dressler rhaphsody - design elements from "the language of ornament" by christopher dressler (1876) plus my original designs put together using ricky tim's rhapsody "format".
scrap attack 1 - this series of quilts were made with the leftovers from my quilting groups monthly blocks from 2009. marybeth who selects our fabrics has an amazing eye.
like an egyptian - bought paula's book and went to town. some of these fabrics i've been holding on to for over 20 years patiently waiting for paula to inspire me.

Mum's hearts - My mother brought me back a lot of Fabrics from a holiday to New Zealand, so this is the quilt I promised to make from them. I machine-quilted it myself- still practising on my long-arm.
