Bouquets For A New Day
Name of Maker: Mamaja
Bouquets For A New Day - Machine appliqued this quilt of the month with my own fabrics. Had the background left from a quilt I made for my Son and Daughter in law when they got married, so that made this one special for me. Many of the blocks were appliqued with my Bernina embroidery module and my Bernina software.

Green Around - This is how I used the little boxes of old fabric samples I had gotten from Keepsake Quilting several years before. Had fun arranging them, and then machine quilting and beading this one.
Alice's antique embroidery
Name of Maker: mamaja and unknown
Alice's antique embroidery - My friend Alice asked me to arrange into a quilt these floral embroidered blocks that a friend of hers had gotten at a yard sale. When I finished the quilt Alice then gifted it back to her friend. In exchange Alice gave me some other blue worked antique embroidery blocks- thus my profile image!
Summer Amish
Name of Maker: mamaja
Summer Amish - Started this after "Winter Amish" but finished it way before. I enjoyed practicing machine applique for the 1st time on this quilt. I learned that I am a much better machine-quilter than a hand-quilter. Also for the 1st time tried variegated thread for quilting.

stars in the dining room
Name of Maker: Monique le Beau
stars in the dining room - I have tried this new technique and it was very funny to do. I have done only 2 sets of 4 star blocks differently surrounded...and gived them for Christmas gift to my daughters.
Batting Practice
Name of Maker: Katie Gomez
Batting Practice - I entered a 5 and only 5 contest by Ricky Tims. My cat is always playing with balls and this pose of her on the bed with her paws in the air looked like she was batting at something. I'm also a baseball nut. So it only made sense to me to combine both my like for my cat and baseball. The cat and balls are hand applique. The 1/4 square triangles were made using 1/4 ST paper. I wanted to try a curvey border and figured out how to cut and stitch the curves. Much of the quilt is stitch in the ditch with some free motion quilting in the larger areas. I met my goals of having fun, meeting a deadline and trying something new. Now to donate it to a cause or hang it on the wall in my home.
