Through thr Garden Trellis - I took a seven month class from a local Jenny Haskins Educator and created this quilt. It contains "faux knitting" which creates fabric from assorted yarns, then cut into 12" squares. All the flowers are embrodered then appliqued on as well as decoupage flowers from coordinated fabric. The vines are silk roule and the butterflies and dragonflies are embroidered with metallic thread then appliqued. All fabrics and yarns are from Jenny Haskins.

Embellishments include: Angelina fiber ghosts, moon spider web and smoke, locks and keys hanging form the front door,embroidery stitches and1/4in bias tape created the fence,multiple embellishments. The back has a close-up of the back gate. My original design.

They could stir up mischief and also warm our hearts! Dog applique pattern is from Java House quilts,"Ruff Around the Edges" The Cat applique is from,Mad dog Marketing, Honey...Wheres the cat?. Design is an adapted original.

America, Let It Shine - Tribute to America and its’ foundations and values, with the hope that they will guide us to a brighter future. Embellished with 5121 Swarovski Crystals: 4543 represent the words of the original U.S. Constitution 312 represent the words to the Star Spangled Banner 31 represent the words of the Pledge of Allegiance. 235 represent the years America has been a country I also incorporated American History by quilting parts of the Gettysburg Address, the Declaration of Independence and the Preamble to the Constitution. The 13 original colonies are represented by using 13 points on the outer blue rays and red triangles. The 50 states are represented with the ring of 50 stars. Quilted across the hanging sleeve are the words to the song “Proud to be an American” by Lee Greenwood. Designed and drafted on graph paper. Free motion quilted on 20 year old Bernina 1001. Quilt will be at PIQF

Jon and Becky's wedding quilt - My 2nd quilt. First one on my own. This is the quilt that made me fall in love with quilting. I embroidered how they met, where they got married (mirror lake @ Ohio state), there wedding party. I made it extra long so they could snuggle under while watching football. Soon after I joined the quilt Guild.

dare to dream - My best friend moved to Philly from CA. Her first winter was coming and I knew she was home sick. So I put the 3rd step prayer on it to remind her of who's in charge and Minky on the back to remind her she is loved. it has embroidered butterflies a symbol of growth.
