Baltimore Bouquets

Baltimore Bouquets - This quilt is completely hand made, with needle turn applique, 3-D applique, embroidery, handpiecing and hand quilting. Most of the work was completed between 2000 and 2001 at which point it was packed up and stored until last year, when I pulled it from its wrappings and finished the quilting and binding.

Diamonds Cubed - I challenged myself to create this quilt with batik scraps. I had a limited amount of fabric and colors. This quilt was on my design wall for 6 months as I moved pieces around until I was happy with this layout. It was a lot of fun. Class 710 made sewing a breeze. Great technique for Y-seams!
First attempt at paper piecing

First attempt at paper piecing - This was my first attempt at foundation paper piecing. I struggles for an hour or two and then the light bulb came on. This is a very good pattern and an accurate representation of my breed.

Western Stars - This is the 2012 raffle quilt for the Rocky Mountain Quilt Foundation. All proceeds to benefit ChildSafe of Ft. Collins. Last year my quilt brought nearly $5,000 to this charity, it is nice to be able to help. Quilt to be raffled off during the Rocky Mtn Quilt Festival in August.

Angel - This snippets landscape is based on a photo from my friend, Dee Adams (www.minniepauz.com). She gave me permission to use her image for inspiration. There is to be a small dog walking slightly behind the man w/ walking stick, but I haven't been able to make the dog look right. Hence the pup is pinned beyond the piece. Size is approx.

Sun Spot - One of my favorite memories of growing up in the Midwest was a crisp morning as the sun rose over the trees. The only sound may be a few birds singing or a bit of wind. Quilt is not finished yet.

Perfume Delight - My favorite rose is a "Perfume Delight." Their blooms are exquisite and smell like heaven. I wanted to give my friend a special Christmas gift this year. It was a lot of fun to make and bead.
