Isla's Quilt
Name of Maker: Quayquilter
Isla's Quilt - A combination of blocks and applique for my granddaughter made to fit a small bed. Handquilted freestyle in the centre, more formally in the outer borders. The little people are based on those in the "Peaced together" pattern by Brandywine.

First Quilt
Deco Woman
Name of Maker: Mickey Bush
Deco Woman - This art quilt started out by using only 2 colors, black & white. I thought that it was to plain so I added a floral border, and gold beads to dress her up.

Rainbow Squared, II
Circles of Life
Name of Maker: Patricia Hersl
Circles of Life - This was a commission from co-workers for a wedding gift. They wanted it queen-size, from the medallion size, so I added the last round of vine and tulips. I also added the bluebirds. I had to convince them to go for a bit of color from the original neutral design, but not too much. It is all hand appliqued using freezer paper under and turned stems, no fusibles. The center LeMoyne Star is machine pieced and was fussy cut. I left out the center circle since the seams met perfectly. (Angel on my shoulder that day!) The machine quilting was done on a long arm and she did a beautiful label on the front with the names of the bride and groom.
Global Exhange
Name of Maker: Karen Pelletier
Global Exhange - I was trying to make a medallion quilt without a pattern but I got it wrong. I decided I liked this layout and kept it. I don't know if there is a name or pattern for it out there. This was made from HSTs from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Triangles Exchange here on TQS.
TeaPot Table Topper
Name of Maker: Terrie Vorsteher
TeaPot Table Topper - Made with the lighter Half Square Triangles 'left over' from the Friendship Triangle Exhange on TQS in 2011. Was meant to be a table topper, but it now hangs on my wall!

Igniting the Plasma
Name of Maker: Fiona Schiffl

Igniting the Plasma - After reading Paula Nadelstern's Kaleidoscope quilts: An artist's journey continues book, I knew I had to make a kaleidoscope. It took about 14.9 metres of material fussy cut to make the 42" square top. The quilting designs were modified Dover copyright free with original elements added. The name of the quilt - well... I was watching Star Trek at the time!

Floating Stars
Name of Maker: Chopin
Floating Stars - This quilt was made with a Bali Pops and a special Creative Grid Ruler for the Stars. It was a challenge, but all points are perfect and the quilt is Squared. A lot of preparation time was spent in making this quilt but it was well worth it. To perfect the quilt, the Quilter's machine must be set for a true "scant" not a quarter inch seam, and if bali pops are used (batiks) remember that they are hand cut and some of the 2 1/2" strips are not accurate. I am very proud of the outcome.
Bread Fruit
Name of Maker: Jo Van Loo
Bread Fruit - Bread fruit is named for the oval shaped pieces that were cut from fabric I bought in Tanzania in 2006.
UFO -- Unexpected Friendship Offering
Name of Maker: JoJo Hall
UFO -- Unexpected Friendship Offering - Tablecloth made from half square triangles from the SoTTT Exhange. This was a blast to make. Although I must admit to playing with all of the HSTs from around the world for weeks before I finally got down to sewing.
With a Little Help From My Friends
Name of Maker: Cheryl Moncrief
With a Little Help From My Friends - This is the quilt I made from the Friendship HST Exchange. It is the Depression Block and has sashing and a saw tooth border. Quilted with decorative stitches with walking foot.
