From Latte to Espresso - I have a passion for bargello quilts. When I saw a picture of one hanging in The Scarlet Thread quilt shop in McDouogh, GA I knew I had to make it! I finished in 15 days and sent it off to Mary Walck to quilt. This quilt is a Nancy Smith Design A Diamonds Jubliee Bargello.
My Dream Garden - From a kit by www.detailsbydiane.com. The flower fabric is machine appliquéd onto a black background. The center was quilted on a long arm and the border on a home machine.
Birdus Marinellus II - This was a challenge from the New Mexico Quilter’s Guild to use Phillip Jacob’s fabric Variegated Leaves, natural color. I used it for the tail and topnotch.
Zentangle Wedding Quilt - The blocks for this quilt were drawn free-hand first, then quilted. 3 of my sisters designed a block each and the rest are my own designs. I quilted all the blocks and assembled the quilt.
What Goes Up - I thought this would be a good one to get back into quilting with. The bright colours attracted me as they reminded me of an amusement park.
Spring - I had a great time playing around with some hand stitching that Brian Haggard showed on his episode. Then I added one of my colored pencil faces.
One Wing - This is a mixed-media art quilt with the quote,"We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we can only fly by embracing one another" - Luciano de Crescenzo
