Tom &The Model T, Iowa 1924 - Inspired by a family photo of my father-in-law, as a young boy in Fairfax, Iowa. Machine raw edged applique, the sky, cobblestone & face are hand-painted. Threadsketching for the cobblestone,tulle for shadow.

Silhouettes of Indian Dancers - The silhouettes emphasize the form and movement of the hands, feet, clothes and hair of the eleven dancers. Auspicious numbers in the Indian culture end with one..11, 21, 51, 101, 501 etc.
A Quilt for Mollie - I created this unique signature quilt for Mollie, a 25 year old coworker who suffered a brainstem stroke in early 2012 and is paralyzed from the nose down. The tree trunk is couched, and the rest of the quilt is free motion quilted.
Scrappy chevrons - My first attempt at stash busting and it was great fun to make. The design possibilities were numerous but in the end I liked this very ordered layout.
Diamonds - Started at a workshop with Kaffe and Brandon at the Festival of Quilts in the UK in 2011 and finished a year later. I learnt a lot about colour and value from working on this quilt.
Lancaster Fall Season - Quilt is a wedding gift for this couple. It is made of cottons, bamboo batting and incorporates machine embroidery designs and trapunto.
Perri's Fishy Quilt - The top was made in 2010, Perri's first Christmas, but wasn't quilted and completed until 2012. The fish have chenille gills, and the seaweed in the corners is also chenille. I couldn't find pre-made chenille strips, so I made my own. I'm glad that I did because I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to get a satisfactory match from pre-made strips. The backing is blue dot Minkee and very cuddly.
Midnight Clear - I made this quilt for my mother for Christmas 2012. She collects angels so I try to make her an angel quilt each year. I did some bobbin quilting with Razzle Dazzle thread and added some beads for a little extra glitter.
Trevor's Triumph - The full name of this quilt is "Trevor's Triumph Through the Trials and Tribulations of Teachers, Textbooks, Tests and Tutorials" to play off of the "T" blocks used to make the stars. It was made for my nephew for his graduation from college.
In Memory Of Rusty & Lucas - Rusty and Lucas were thread painted and appliqued on to a Convergence background. They were always together now they are waiting for me at the Rainbow Bridge.
Welcome Home, Colby! - Based on a photograph of my daughter's kitten's first introduction to her new home, directly from the humane society's box! The background was chosen to match her home decor.
