My quilt won a 1st prize at my local Quilt show and the International Quilt Festival of Ireland requested I send it to their show in 2013 to be featured in one of their exhibits :)
A Promise Kept - A promise made to best friend prior to dying of breast cancer.all future grand children would receive
a quilt by her made by me. This is for her first grandson..
My Alter Ego - Long an admirer of Yvonne Porcella's free-style faces BUT afraid to tackle one UNTIL the latest issue of The Quilt Life arrived and gave me the confidence to make my own. She hangs near my sewing machine in my new sewing studio. She's what I often look like when I am spending more time un-sewing than sewing. I'm retired and just LOVING the sewing space and the time to do things I've long wanted to do but never had the courage AND I've used a number of the patterns and kits I've purchased over the years. THANKS to Ricky Tims for the lesson on machine applique -- Love that technique. Happy Quilting to All

Pretty Perfect Paisley - The center of this quilt is the result of a guild workshop with Pam Buda of Heartspun Quilts. I designed the borders using one of the blocks from the center.
Ali's Garden Party - I started this quilt at the Pieceful Harbor Retreat with Margaret Miller and Nancy Lee Chong. I expanded the quilt by adding my own borders using Nancy's motifs.
Go in Circles - I wanted to do a quilt that didn't have to be one thing or another. That inner critic's voice can get too loud at times, so I sent it to get lost in these circles. I have no sense of direction, so I hope that it doesn't have one either.
Autumn Forest - In response to a guild challenge. Required fabric is in the bottom border. Challenge fabric was photo reduced and reprinted many times to make the forest floor recede.
Callas Through Garden Windows - This was an improvisational quilt I made for my daughter's wedding. I designed the center calla applique from a floral arrangement in my home. Each block is a peek through an Asian window. I used Embroidery Library's Kanji designs for the words and Asian Elegance pack for many of the embroideries, along with several other Asian designs.
Chris's Folded Log Cabin - Sarah Kaufman taught this class in Seattle area. She is a wonderful teacher and brought a trunk show of the quilts in her book.
Chocolate Sundae - I designed the quilt around the cake stand block. The various free motion quilting techniques are what I've learned from teachings with the pros.
Starburst - I adapted Sarah Vedeler's Sedona Star pattern by adding some free form flowers and changing the outer borders. Unfortunately this caused a hanging problem as it's a little wavy. I think perhaps adding the trapunto with very heavy quilting and altering the outer border was the cause. Overall, I'm pleased with my efforts.
Oh my stars! Look at all those rings! - I love Judy Niemeyer's pattern's and this one really caught my eye. I tried some new quilting techniques for me with using a double batt of cotton and wool and quilting more geometric shapes. I love the texture of the quilting in this quilt!
