Bloom by bloom comes the Summer - Design based on my drawing of flowers. Juried into AQS and other shows and venues.

In Praise of blue and yellow - Designed to showcase the blue and yellow colorways from my Software fabric line printed by Windham Fabrics. (I'm textile designer Yolanda Fundora.)

Jellicle Cats - Made for a challenge to interpret a poem, I chose Song of the Jellicles by T.S. Elliot. "Jellicle cats are black & white, Jellicle cats are rather small, the Jellicle moon is shining bright, Jellicles come to the Jellicle Ball."

Desert Friends - This was one of the first designs I created in EQ5. I made it for my mom, who lives in the desert.

Blest Be the Ties - String quilt made from a block swap. Auctioned for our mission expenses.

Dahlia for Dahlia - Hand-pieced dahlia made for my son's teacher, whose name is Dahlia.

Anniversary Rose - I made this for my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. I adapted the pattern, adding an appliqued border and using solid cornerstones intead of pieced. The rose blocks are paper pieced.

Christmas Cardinals - Hand-pieced carpenter's wheel blocks surround fussy cut cardinals. Border is a border print. All machine quilted except for center square, which is hand quilted with a snowflake design.

Joyful Noise - Blue pieced background with yellow/orange wavy lines, surrounded by rows of irregularly pieced black and white fabric, with points of orange. Also features a vertical row of blocks in blues and oranges suggesting horns or trumpets.

Finished is a Good Thing ! - I began making the applique' blocks in probably 1997 as part of a Block of the Month at my local quilt shop. As it turned out, I decided in pretty short order that I wasn't all that thrilled about applique, even though it was being done by machine. So the blocks sat until I needed to "bid" on a machine quilting job and I needed to highlight my machine quilting skills. I dug out the blocks and with only 5 of them completed, I didn't have much of a quilt. I knew that I was not doing any more applique' so I did faux applique' with just machine quilting. For the border and sashing, I cut up the pieces of fabric which were originally to be used for the applique'. The machine quilting style is called "McTavishing" named after the extraordinary machine quilter and quilting teacher, Karen McTavish (www.designerquilts.com). I won the quilting job and Karen used the quilt in her book "The Art of McTavishing" by On Word Bound Books. The quilt has won numerous awards and now hangs in my quilting studio.
