Watercolor wreath
Name of Maker: NA
Watercolor wreath - one inch squares of red rose fabrics on a black bacground, laid out into circle, with smaller parts of the print toward the outside edge. Quilted by machine. Outline quilted in gold lame thread, then quilted in black further with a few rows of outline stitching and then crosshatched in the center. Finally quilted with red thread for the motifs in the corners. I think the motifs may have come from Helen Squire's books.
dogwood wreath
Name of Maker: self
dogwood wreath - I cut out motifs from a dogwood flower print and ironed them onto the backing which happened to match the background color of the print. I zigzagged around the raw edges with invisible monofilament thread and then quilted it in a grid pattern in the center by using masking tape as my guide. I quilted around the motifs and then meandered around the outside.
