My Ceil and Cancer everywhere - Quilts act as an emotional outlet for me. My dog Ceil has inoperable cancer. Cancer always seems to surround me, only Magical Thinking-Chinese Medicine might be able to help.
My Lake Arrowhead (GA, not CA) - Made from a paper piecing block that I can't remember, from Quilter's Cache, online. Photos taken in the community where I live.
Happy Nineteenth - Made as a dorm quilt for my granddaughter's 19th birthday. She chose the colors, wanting subtle fabric but intricate design ... with a month to make it!
Cats Abound All Around - 2006-2007 RCTQ (quilting newsgroup) BOM challenge. I did one traditionally pieced and one paper-pieced block each month and also did a Carol Doak paper-pieced block and five half blocks featuring batik cats. All the fabrics were cat fabrics from my stash.
Ms. Dale's Garden - The first grade students all drew a flower and picked fabrics for their flower. The drawings were made into applique flowers for the quilt. The pictures were bound into a book to accompany the quilt as a year end present to their teacher.
Incandescence - After attending a Ricky Tim's Seminar, I designed this pattern myself based on Rhapsody techniques. I completed this quilt for the 2006 Hoffman Challenge. It is currently traveling with the collections.
Kuwait Quilt - This is my black and tan quilt. Found a animal print Batik and picked all the other colors to go with it keeping shades of brown and black with a touch of yellow to spice it up. I had the fabric all cut ready to piece so that I could begin it in the Atlanta Airport on my way to Kuwait 2 month deployment. I finished the top while there.
