Sandcastle - We did a challenge for the teacup quilters and I did a sand castle with Jockey's Ridge in the background.

Tommy's Animals - Patterns from the Little Critters book by Brandwine Designs were appliqued onto a traditional log cabin block.

With This Ring - Made as wedding gift for daughter out of commercial batiks. Hand quilted by Amish ladies at a shop in Sarasota, Florida.

Double Wedding Ring - Lots of batiks and non-traditionals fabric in a very traditional pattern. This is one of my favorites.

Cabin Fever - This quilt evolved from flannel fabrics that i had in my stash. I was very happy for it to have a good home in a log cabin in PA.

Cardinal in the Pines - One of my first quilts--nobody told me that this was a tough pattern.

Sunbonnet Belles - This quilt was a special order by Michelle. The applique embroidery designs are from Designs by JuJu.

Margaritaville - I just loved the wonky cottages and thought the Name Margaritaville fit.

Blue Heron - A paper pieced pattern designed by Kathy Coffin. I made this into a pillow cover. Took this workshop at a retreat on PEI.

Heart Quilt - This was a block exchange of 4 patch blocks. I never could figure out what to do until I found this applique on my D1. I love the scrappy look.

Star Table - I saw a picture of this quilt on the back of a book or magazine and bought the publication thinking it would be in there - but it wasn't. So, I just made it up to look similar.

Social Flutterby - Made as a gift for my sister who is a clinical social worker and lover of butterflies.

New York Beauty in Yellow, Purple and Green - This was paper pieced. This began with purple and yellow only; but then I decided it needed a third color, so along came the green! The colors were my choices and not ones suggested by the book. This was and will be the only paper-pieced quilt I will do! (I love applique....). This was fun and I'm happy with the result, but I prefer other methods. I hung this quilt in my daughter's old room and actually redecorated the room around it! The whole room is purple, green and yellow. Light lavender rug, yellow bedspread, one accent light purple wall, etc.

Dad's Quilt - These jewel tone fabrics are deep and masculine. I made it for my dad who was having dialysis ever other day for many years. We lost him in January of 2007 and I came back into possession of the quilt. I can't look at it yet without feeling sad, so it is stored away right now.

Truly Trapunto - I really love the blue against the white. The ruffled borders were quite a challenge and not part of the original pattern. I just thought they would look nice!
