Texans' Tribute to America - This quilt was made for our guild's annual drawing by the small group The Cutups. Margaret was the force behind us completing the quilt by deadline. Unfortunately she passed away last November. Margaret embroidered the words on her Bernina and made flowers. Ellen made the church and big flag. Johanna made the eagle and mountains. Shelly made the torch. Barb made the bell. Paulette made the star flag block. I made the red cross and Texas flag blocks.

Horn of Plenty for a New Century - I redrafted patterns that first appeared as a series quilt in The Kansas City Star in 1932. Where Eveline Foland defined her images with embroidery, I used applique. So leaves are two fabrics and stems are appliqued.
