Moonlight Tulips - Sewen as part of my first quilt class. I didn't like the Tulip pattern, so decided to do something different with the black background and ended up with something I really like.

Berry Good Time - Created while participating in Guild Challenge. There is still some on the marking chalk from the quilting process appearing on the photo.

Fundraiser quilt

East meets West - In the fall of 2006, I went to Taiwan courtesy of AYUSA, the exchange student organization I work for. I stayed with a host family for a week. They gave me many gifts, including a set of wood carvings made from camphor wood. The Chinese characters say "Good Luck all Year Long". When I got home, I photographed the wood carvings, traced the characters and the circle they were in onto Wonder Under (I even remembered to reverse the characters!!) and fused them to the background fabric. I machine quilted leaves around the circles.

Obesssion - This quilt is entirely pieced. I made my first attempt at color overlays and used only fabrics from my stash. Many blocks were pieced, cut and repieced (is that actually a word?) until I got the effect I wanted

Delphine's quilt - I think it was from Quiltmaker, not sure....

Our Own Berries - I made this when I first discovered watercolor. My impressions of the light and wonder of our berry farm in the Catskill Mtns.

Garden Party - Created for participation in guild challenge. Background is machine piece with foreground objects applied via needle turn applique. This was my first applique project. Also my first project where I created my own design.

Barbara Frietchie Star quilt

The Calico Garden - After Froncie visited our guild I had to make this quilt. I loved every minute of it.

Full Moon - I did this quilt in oriental fabrics, then added a much larger cotton border machine quilted in circles, finished with an uneven block border.

Hummingbird Sipper - My first and last try at a new technique.

Peacock Feathers - Made during participation in Mystery Quilt event ran by local quilt shop.

Art Quilts - These quilts were a collection of small wall hangings that I made from a couple of classes that were taught by David Walker. They are a variety of subject matter and techniques. I learned to expand my horizons and challenge my creativity. David is an excellent instructor and I had a wonderful time in the classes.
