Fractured Crystals - I originally was making this for myself. I loved the pattern. But as I was sewing I kept thinking about my friend. After awhile I knew this wasn't my quilt anymore, I had to send it to my friend. This has happened to a couple of quilts I've made.
Two Years O Love - I call this quilt "Two Years of Love" because that's how long I've been quilting. This quilt is made from scraps of all the quilts I've made in that time. I keep it on my bed so I can "see" all the quilts I have made.
Drazil (lizard spelled backwards) - This quilt was made for a grab bag swap that Tomme Fent organized on the Quiltart list. I had fabrics and trims from Jan Patterson and I made the quilt from what I had received from Tomme.. After making the quilt I found that it was Jan Patterson's fabric bag. It was so much fun..
Chinese Garden - I adapted this one from a photo I took 20 years ago in China. This photo has been on my design wall ever since. The presence of the seaweed like vine is just another example showing why I will never win a prize in a quilt show
Prismic Whirlpool - Created for Guild Challenge entitled "Opposites Attract". Originally I wasn't going to participate, but then this design idea popped into my head during the drive home from work. The project is needle turn applique.
Geisha In The Garden - I loved the oriental fabrics and instead of doing blocks, my sister & I designed blocks using bamboo on one large piece of fabric. The designs inside the bamboo came from Kumiko Sudo's book. I finished it with Geisha around the border.
Sewing Cabin - I made this quilt while working at So Fro Fabrics selling Sewing Machines. I used all sewing theme fabrics and a log cabin background. I machine quilted it back when machine quilting was not an accepted quilting method.
