Jennifer's Basics - My daughter wanted one of Ricky's design for her very modern house in Germany. She ask for the basic colors which are not my thing but you'll do anything for love.

IH - Baby quilt for a family of tractor collectors. Their choice of machinery is International Harvestors.

Argyle Sox - My son's quilt. It is a cosy one as it is made with flannels. I started this at a day retreat at Gillis's winery on the Bellisle NB.

Pictou Lighthouse - fused applique and machine quilted This lighthouse is no longer as it burned down.

Joan's Quilt - Wall hanging made when my adopted grandma Joan got breast cancer. This was a present for her being a survivor!

Nichole and Jon's Wedding Wall Hanging - This was a wall hanging I made for my friend Nichole and Jon's wedding. It includes their engagement picture and their date and names.

Mt. Rushmore Quilt - I used Mt. Rushmore fabric to make a wall hanging for my adopted Grandpa Neil. We worked together at Mt. Rushmore and so I wanted him to have a reminder of South Dakota.

Mount Rushmore Quilt As You Go - I used the Mount Rushmore fabric as the center and did a quilt as you go wall hanging for my dorm mom Jan when I worked at Mt. Rushmore. I don't know where she is now, but she was so awesome I wanted to make her something special. I made this in under 3 hours! She absolutely loved it!

Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Survivor Quilt - This is a quilt I made for my mom when she was going through breast cancer treatments to keep her warm. She is now a survivor of 2 years!

Duck stamp Irish Chain - I made this for a friend who was having a baby girl.

Lillies on the Nile - Made as a challenge quilt for our Guild, River Lea Quilter's. I love this quilt and have it hanging in my living room

Cats and Dogs - I made the center using the harmonic convergence pattern and then added my own border design. I made this for my BFF for her 50th birthday. It hangs over her couch.

Johnny Appleseed Journal Page - A journal page done for an exchange that I did through the Internet with 8 other fiber artists. This page was done for Bente, who lives in Norway. She wanted pages that represented a fairy tale from your home country. I chose the story of Johnny Appleseed. This page has been selected to be published in a book by Dawn Sokol called 1000 Journal Pages. So, that is exciting. I haven't bound my pages yet. My theme was do something that represents where you live. I got some great pages.

Tairu - I was looking for a new way to illustrate the different ways to use variations of kaleidoscope blocks. This one turned out to be such a subtle block that many people think that it contains fussy cut squares. It doesn't. It is all pieced.

It's A Great Life If You Don't Weaken - This is one of a series of 4 quilts made for a class with Linda Scmidt at www.quiltuniversity.com called Elements. This is the Fire piece of the series. It is based on paintings by Frieda Kahlo. The movie Frieda came out around the time I had my first hip surgery in 2003. Frieda had a bad accident and lived in pain her whole life. One of her paintings is of her left foot painted from her angle while lying in bed. I just happened to have taken a photo of my right foot the same way while I was recovering in bed. You can see my right foot in the upper left. There is a photo print of part of one her paintings in one of the flames. The flames represent the pain.

Life's A Beach - One of a series of 4 quilts done in a class with Linda Schmidt at www.quiltuniversity.com. The class is called Elements. This is the Water Element. It is based on a picture I took in Bermuda on our Honeymoon in 1992. It has beads, fused rocks, and the water is made from painted cellophane that was heated. Then I covered it with organza. I then added sequins to look like buble.

first quilt - My very first quilt when I had no clue what I was doing. I cut the strips with a scissors and nothing lined up. I finally machine quilted it this year and am not too displeased with the effects.

Summertime - Took a class with Nancy and we all did the Summer Landscape. Everyone's was different because of choice of fabric and placement of fields. I finally finished the quilting this year.
