Jennifer's Rainbow - My daughter wanted a rainbow quilt. I gathered the fabrics, cut them and she placed them in the design she wanted. This is my first quilt and my favorite because we made it together.
Little Blue Bird - I took a class in applique from Pearl Pereira. This is the design she uses to teach her method. It came out great. My Granddaughter loved it a took it home with her.
A Mountain Scene - I needed something to prevent prying eyes from looking in from the street so I had leftover blocks and added a few more to make the length fit.
Harmonic Convergence - This was a class that I had taken when I was brand new to quilting. Little did I know what it would lead to (stash, stash, stash) I quilted this using gold metallic thread and copied the leaf motif in the quilt.
Plumeria - Took a class at Memory Lane Quilt Shop in Santee California.
I made this wall hanging for my mother and she has it on the wall in her house.
String Quilt - Fran Snay was our teacher at our Fall Retreat held at Peaceful Valley Ranch Oct 2007. Not only did I actually finish the piecing, but I got it finished! Yeh.
This was designed by Sue Boushard for Quilt in a Day Book,"Christmas at Bear Paw Ranch".
I have been to the Bear Paw Ranch and met Elenor Burns a few times. She is very funny and bright.
Her retreat in Julian California is great fun.
Seneca Falls Kansas City Star - When visiting the Grand Lake area, I stopped into the local quilt shop and found this kit. The quilt honors women of history in the various fabrics used. This quilt hung in the Capitol Quilt Show April 2007.
