Summer's Stack 'n Slash
Name of Maker: Sandi Harrah
Summer's Stack 'n Slash - I used my own hand dyed fabric to make this quilt for my niece's new "big girl" bed.
Almost Hawaiian Wedding Quilt
Name of Maker: Judy Browning
Almost Hawaiian Wedding Quilt - The center is the breadfruit pattern from the book, the rest is my design. I used Fossil Fern and a plaid for the center fabrics just because.
Rosita and Patricia
Name of Maker: Caitlin O'Connor
Rosita and Patricia - Started in a class with Jenny Bowker, from a photo of my mother with her mother in 1944 in their backyard in Manchester England. Shortly after the end of WWII they emigrated to Australia - my grandfather was an Aussie pilot and engineer serving in Britain.
Storm At Sea
Name of Maker: Sandi Harrah
Storm At Sea - This was made for my husband, Matt, who has always admired the Storm at Sea pattern.
The Cat's Pyjamas
Name of Maker: Caitlin O'Connor
The Cat's Pyjamas - I thought my 2nd husband was the cat's pyjamas. Turned out not to be true. I still like the quilt - but not the ex husband.
Celtic Wave
Name of Maker: Sandi Harrah
Celtic Wave - This was made in a Quilt University class in 2004. I recommend their classes to everyone, they are wonderful!
Romantic Baskets
Name of Maker: Vicki C
Romantic Baskets - I donated this quilt to the Napa School district to auction.
Out of a Clear Blue Sky
Name of Maker: Caitlin O'Connor
Out of a Clear Blue Sky - This small quilt was made in response to 9/11. It depicts the burning documents that were the first one New Jersey woman knew of the destruction of the world trade centre.
Winging It
Name of Maker: Mary Witwer
Winging It - This is made of cotton with Lame wings. It is quilted in the center block and green area. I think I'll quilt the whole piece. June Colburn is a beautiful teacher, and quiet soul. I took her class to make a fan vest. Too big for me now, so I should make a wall quilt of it.
Cherry Basket
Name of Maker: Vicki C
Cherry Basket - I made this for a lady who loves cherries and I used all cherry fabrics
Round Robin Christmas Quilt
Name of Maker: VickiC, JeanD, GayeB, MelanieW, MichelleM
Round Robin Christmas Quilt - This was done as a round robin in a mini quilt group. I started with the Gingerbread men, and the other strips were added by the other members of the group, then I added the strips of small squares and put the quilt together.
Alaskan Sampler
Name of Maker: Sandi Harrah
Alaskan Sampler - This sampler was great fun to make with all the Alaskan themed blocks. I enjoyed using some fabric I hand-dyed with my quilt bee as well as some purchased specifically for this quilt by my husband and son.
Lady Lisa
Name of Maker: quiltingisme
Lady Lisa - Panel by Andover Fabrics
Magic Squares
Name of Maker: Barbara Campbell
Magic Squares - My original design, small quilt easy-to-make with two sets of strip-pieced fabric, cut into triangles and reassembled into squares. My pattern is available at Quiltwoman.com or www.loveinstitches.com.
Sunrise Sunset
Name of Maker: B. Delaney
Sunrise Sunset - When I saw a picture of this quilt I thougt, where would I find those fabrics. Well they were just about all in my stash. Making this quilt didn't put a dent in the stash either!
Polka Dot Dreams
Name of Maker: Debbie Shanks
Polka Dot Dreams - I used the Beatrix Potter fabrics for this baby quilt and felt it was predictable so I added polka dot fabric for the variable star points and binding. I added machine embroidery monograms to two corners and the year in the other two corners since the baby is not yet named and due in July, 2007. He will be the 2nd child and 1st boy born to Stephen and Amy McHaney of Victoria, Texas.
Stars and Chains
Name of Maker: Debbie Shanks
Stars and Chains - I love stars and I wanted to use up some scraps so I picked this pattern and made a lap-size quilt (which kind of makes a bed topper as you can see). I used wool batting which gives a nice warmth and low loft.
